Join Date: Jul 2021. Posts: 422. Likes: 174. Received 198 Likes on 106 Posts. 22’ 7.3L 4.30 CCLB Carli 3” lift on 37s. I have about 1200 miles on the truck. It’s been lifted since about 450 miles. I get 9.5 mpg towing my 6Kish lb pontoon boat and 11-12.5 around the city. I haven’t had it on a road trip yet where I keep a constant speed.

37s and 4.30 gears = 10-12mpg average with the camper loaded on trips in mtns and wherever. Best so far was 13.5mpg. 4WD off road exploring for days resulted in 9mpg. Rarely have driven empty but would be 14mpg or better depending. Trailer towing it is around 10mpg. Just got the PSC hydro assist ram installed.

Stock wheels are 8 inches wide. There aren't too many 12.50s that will fit 8" rims based on factory documentation. The Toyo R/T and M/Ts, for example, require an 8.5 minimum. The A/T III will do fine with a spec of 8" minimum. After the Lift and 37s I have put an additional 5.3K miles averaging 11.8 mpg, please keep in mind this is with an Un-Corrected Odometer. We figured we'd show the WORST CASE scenario on a truck running 13.5" wide 37" t...I had 7.3 with basically 35s, going from 3.73 to a 4.30 gearing was fantastic, with 37s your net would be slightly lower than 4.10 gearing on a stock tire. I think 4.56 would be too tall, I’d recommend 4.30, good balance for towing and mpgs.
