No idea how nice the sionics is, but I got my 16" midlength di barrel chopped to 12.5 and it's fantastic. I've only tried it with my rugged Alaskan so far but I was extremely impressed with the performance, lack of gas to face and the nice tone. Shot smooth as butter.

I'm running e-bolts in both, but had issues finding the FA e-carrier until LMT's BF sale. Rifles are both stock other than Geissele Airborne CHs on both and a Geissele SD-C trigger on the Shovelnose. The Specwar has a US Axle trigger. TL;DR - it really smooths out the recoil and works great with the Geissele H1 suppressed and unsuppressed.
