For this study, we utilize coordinate time series of 200 continuous GPS stations in Searles Valley area processed by the Nevada Geodetic Laboratory (NGL). The objective is to detect coseismic offset signals in the GPS displacement time series data. As a graduate student, Justine has accepted two summer internships in geophysics. At UNAVCO in 2018, Justine’s project focused on GPS time series steps, testing various offset estimation strategies, and working to build a comprehensive step table using Plate Boundary Observatory and Nevada Geodetic Laboratory data.We use metadata from the Nevada Geodetic Laboratory (Blewitt et al., 2018) to remove offsets, assuming that any remaining offsets are insignificant.
