I'm replacing my IP on my 7.3 Idi (the motor is out and its a bigger injection pump then stock) I'm wanting to advance my timing 10-12 degrees. I have no clue where to really start on doing this task any advice would definitely help. i did it last summer, about 40% wmo and it ran perfectly. a tiny bit rougher to tart but nothing horrible especially when its warm outside. i mixed a drum of oil and diesel, then pumped it from the bottom of the drum through a 1 micron filter back into the drum. i let it run like this for about an hour. i mix it first so it will run through the filter. as you can …Was driving down the road running fine then power went away then a cloud of white smoke. I could have used my auto driveshaft, but the 5 speed shaft was thicker and had larger u-joints.
