Rauru and Sonia are OoT Zelda's parents. In the original timeline, when Ganondorf comes to Hyrule, young OoT doesn't trust him and involves Link and OoT happens. In TotK, future Zelda arrives and changes history, causing a timeline branch. In one of the memories, Rauru tells Zelda explicitly that her arrival has created a timeline split.
