ERivTruck Discussion starter. 1123 posts · Joined 2021. #9 · May 17, 2023. Selling would work as it is specifically keyed to an owner and a VIN of vehicle. I was told there are like only 2 people in all of Rivian that have the "power" to make these changes to a key band because of security.
Rivian really should be shipping multiple band sizes, but I'd personally still end up selecting the one I have. The wrist band is technically wearable, but it's way, WAY too tight to be comfortable.
Luckily, we had the carabiner key. I contacted Roadside assistance this morning and spoke with a very helpful person who said it's known issue, and to use the key card and carabiner key. This will be resolved via an OTA update. The Rivian Roadside assistance rep said not to delete the app and reinstall it, or try to reset any settings.

Phone app no longer works for proximity as it did at first. The lack of key band for non-launch editions really shouldn’t be a big deal, but it feels like it is. I remember watching the video highlighting it and thinking how cool it was. Now I’ll just have to hope that a launcher decides to sell their Rivian and is willing to sell their key band separately. VERY disappointing.
