I have some questions about Australium Weapons. I want an Australium medi gun, but I was just wondering if I should get it by playing mvm or just buying it. My original plan was to just play mvm until I get it, but that would mean spending $100 on tickets, which is almost the gun's price on the community market.

The average distribution among the other weapons is around 5-6%. About every 400th australium drop is a pan drop. Posted August 18, 2018. If you want, you can buy dragon slayer skins, they look (in my opinion) even better than australiums, and you can get them for a fraction of the price. Of course, you can't get some weapons like the tomislav, but this will save you lots of money.

The percentage of australium drops has never been revealed officially, but it's pretty low. There's no way to get a better drop rate. They're randomized. That's like asking where's the best place to buy a lotto ticket. There was a great video by someone on this topic, lemme see if I can find it.
The only way to find them is by searching on backpack.tf the strange variant of any weapon that has an australium form, then looking at the very end where the australiums can be found.
