Best woods cam for 103.

Very good bolt in for a 96", little undercammed for the 103" but produces great torque in every range and a wonderful cam for touring (with a little racing fun too). Very quiet and well mannered. No cam noise like some of the other cams out there.Cruster, I think the factory 103" motors use the SE 260 cam. While I'm no expert, the 203 is a mild cam for 88 and 95 inch motors, probably totally wrong for your 103. If I'm not mistaken, csoday used SE 251 cams in his 103" motor wth awesome results. csoday is in Iraq right now by you could earch for his posts. Good luck!Apr 25, 2012 · If you have a proper valve job and porting on your heads with a bump in compression to get you over 10:1, preferably 10.5:1 you will see much bigger gains. More along the lines of 115HP and 125 lbs. of torque. 85 -90 HP 100-105 tq on a stock 103 with the 555. 100 hp 110 tq on a stock 103 that would be pretty hard to achieve. But with good pipes, tune and comp releases it will run great. 10:1 cr is moderate...190 psi ccc.With the heavier touring models the Woods TW222 is a awesome cam. The TW222 has great low end/mid range torque, this cam turns on early and pulls like a freight train right up to the rev limiter. I used the SE255 and then went with the Woods TW222 and the TW222 beats the SE255 hands down. The 777 cam is not a low end torque cam and you need to run the bike over the 3000 rpm range to get the cam to perform. Some grinds are louder than others, but the trade-off is generally a motor that makes a bit more power than a comparative cam from a different company.
