Volatile flow wont work if you have 3 weapon surges on. The max you can have is 2. Volatile flow doesn't work with Hard light or gravtion lance. But Echo of Instability (void fragments) works with Hard light and Gravtion lance. Other void weapons seem to have no issues activating volatile rounds. I've found if you proc volatile with gyrfalcons, it won't give anti barrier rounds but if you proc volatile with void fragments like the grenade one or the new finisher one it will work.
