But why should I care? I mean… the constant on and off thing is more nuisance than valuable information. Warranty. - 1 year parts and labor warranty. Before installation, I definitely felt the VCM kick in a lot more times so with that being said, some improvements with this device. I've the blue recommended Blue resistor on for now. I thought 3rd gens don't have an eco light indicator for vcm status. Mine just has a eco mode that fudges with the accelerator control.The VCM technology is what changes the camshaft timing to increase the engine performance. And when there is something wrong with this timing, the engine will start to misfire. To solve this issue, first, check the engine oil level.
