But when I put my phone in airplane mode so it can only call out over wifi, the calls connect without a problem. This happens everytime. Jan 16, 2013 · What happens is that call forwarding accidentally gets put on. Most likely it is from a glitch on Verizon's end, but it's easy to undo. All you have to do is reset it. Take the phone that is having the problems and from it dial *73 You will hear a couple of beeps in your ear and that will tell you it has been reset. After the latest update, 16.2, the same thing happened with stored contact. I fixed it by deleting the number (not the name), reentered the same number for the contact, then saved it. For a quick workaround, dial the number direct. Apparently there's a conflict with the numbers prefix from the previously stored number.
