I’ve just reached GM on console again in overwatch 2 (was GM/T500 in overwatch 1 from like season 15-20 then stopped playing) and it’s just full of Ximming hitscans ... I understand how a Xim works so I’m aware Blizzard have a hard time recognising it, and even if they could I doubt they’d do anything about it.

Well, the reason I asked is because the whole point of why XIM was scary was because it could lie that it was just a normal official controller and thus undetectable. You're adding something that was never intended that gives you an advantage. Just play the game on pc and use the XIM to improve your console experience, like it's designed for. That being said, if you're trying to improve your time to kill or accuracy, I'd recommend using an aim trainer. I don't use them, but they're out there.
