If the engine is running poorly at 3/4 to full throttle, the main jet is the likely problem. Fingers are crossed - but at least after this I know I will have all of the carby puzzle pieces. The only maintenance required on the shaft is the rear spline lubrication with moly60 lube, easy to do and not often. It's one fast bike.Clutch Slipping: 2 Problems, 1 solved. 1st problem (solved) Clutch didn't engage until lever was almost all the way out. Pin 3B: Lead for 2nd accessory. Pin 4: Black/Yellow wire to fan switch, grounds the fan relay. Pin 5: Blue wire, switched side of the fan relay, powers the fan. Kawasaki's can sometimes be a little balky on the 1-2 shift and if you have a heel/toe shifter, it is soooo easy to give the old heel a stomp and then ugly things happen inside the transmission.Again with starter cable removed: 1. On fuel pump side of the harness still plugged in, push red meter probe into connector to touch pin with black/yellow wire, black meter lead to touch green pin. 2. Your valves could become damaged if you never check the clearance/redo the shims on them. Or maybe you like to rev it up loud before the engine is warm. That would eventually bend a valve.
