Fitting the firing pin not only means trimming to length, but also the angle on the end of the tail. It it is not right, it hits the side of the safety notch in the frame when the bolt tries to go to the rear, and keeps it from turning. I Had to adjust the angle on the tail of the Glend I got for that reason.

I did this on both my 39CL's. A small nylon washer between the frame and the lever spring. On the underside of the frame, just ahead of the lever is a small screw that holds the lever spring in place. Placing a spacer between the frame and the spring lessened the pressure exerted by the spring on the lever.
