Nissan xterra vdc off slip reset.
My 2007 Xterra did the same exact thing this morning. My wife said it didn't want to start but finally did (it's like 15 degrees F here today) and she said the "check engine soon," "SLIP," and "VDC Off" lights were all on and it wouldn't move. I tried all gears and 4WD but it would only creep back in to the driveway with the accelerator buried.

After first sharp right turn, Slip dash light came on. Self-resetting did not occur while driving in straight line. Local Nissan dealer offered to "reload lost data" for $120.Alex S. It will usually turn on when the vehicle detects that one of the wheels is slipping and has lost traction. If Your slip light is on permanently then it is usually a problem with a sensor at the wheels.But the ABLS still kicks in with the VDC off and can be way too sensitive. You get the same SLIP light and braking. It's not really that you're not slipping at all, but it's an imperceptible traction loss that a very sensitive sensor is picking up--assuming it isn't malfunctioning. My Xterra. Before you do any of that though, get yourself under your truck and figure out where the transmission fluid is "pouring" out from. Apr 20, 2008 · The simplest thing to do is to take it back to the dealer. My 2008 Xterra had the VDC/slip light on when it was delivered. Just took it back the next day and they fixed it. Not really sure what the problem was. They said the steering angle detector (or something like that) had to be re-adjusted and the computer had to be reset.

I have a 2005 Xterra and I am having problem diagnosing the issues. First I have four dash board lights on, and they are ABS, VDC,SLIP and the Check Engine. Secondly, the rear tires are dragging when reversing or turning. I took it to AutoZone and used their scanner and received code P0420 and P0430 - Catalytic converter system.
Battery, terminals, 12v sockets, all fuses are good. No abs light, no check engine light, no codes. Just a blank 4wd screen, no 4wd, and the vdc and slip lights on. I plan to check the abs wheel s No abs light and no codes. Whatever is causing the 4wd screw to be blank and the 4wd to not work is causing the vdc and slip lights. Has to be.

The bolt breaking and the bearing are two unrelated issues. The bolt that holds the sensor in typically breaks, especially if all you do it put a wrench on it and turn hard until it breaks.
