At 7 you get 46% energy back, and at 6 you get 42% back. Doubling up is therefore pretty worth it, but on a contraverse build I think OPs set up is the best. 4 charge from just 2 orbs with stacks on stacks, 42% from 2 kick-starts but you still get to make an orb on grenade kills. With a few mods you have nearly constant grenade uptime. When you use contraverse hold on devour eat the nade (charge and consume ) then kill something with your weapons. You get grenade energy back it actually works really well. I pair it with a smg with outlaw rampage great on harder content.
