The slate of upcoming Star Wars video games appears to be very impressive as Lucasfilm ensures that the canon timeline continues to expand with its range of titles.

The fact that there is a "canon" ending to these games is stupid. The canon of KotOR messes up KotOR 2, but the only reason to canonize these games was to shoehorn the characters into other works and both work with vague endings. As an example, in KotOR Revan kills Malak, then leaves, regardless of alignment.

KoTOR, as we know it, will never be canon. They might use it as a sort of framework to create a new Mandalorian Wars, maybe with some of the same characters and events. It'll be Legends. But the reason for it being Legends is largely why you want it to be canon: it takes place so far away from the movies, it won't impact any existing story.
