With it in rear only the mid will turn free. With engine off, move it to mid while turning the shaft. You should feel it connect.

IMO, you are restricted to the RC48-G20, RC54-G20, or RC60-G20 mower decks to mount on a Kubota G1900. You might possibly modify another Kubota deck to fit a G1900, but I doubt that you would ever get it "right". I have an RC60-G20 deck.Probably need to raise the rockshaft all the way to take the weight off of the lock. I believe that most of these height knobs/locks will not move when the weight of the mower deck is resting on them. Just make sure its lifted all the way, then try to move your knob.
