Exotics quests are easy if you collect ahead of time. Once you get a request, everything stops spawning, except maybe 1 of each item and you have to look thru hell and high water for it. Plumes, for example, I collect all thru chapters 2 & 3, when those damn egrets, herons, and spoonbills are everywhere. Orchids I collect as I hunt.
My guess is, if it's possible, go to Algernon Wasp's boutique and see if the white 'stranger' marker appears. I've personally never tried it (starting from scratch as John) although I have started as Arthur and finished it as John. 1. Reply. [deleted]

Thanks this just saved me,i was going to load another save from chapter 2. You can collect all the plumes and gator eggs prior to starting that mission, there’s no spawn restriction there. I have all of those in chapter 2. I am in chapter 4 as well and haven’t actually talked to Algernon Wasp yet to start the mission.
