Skyrim Madness Armor Improvement So I was using Daedric armor for a super long time, but noticed the madness had better base stats. So I grinded it out till I had enough ore for a full set and a war hammer plus 5 ingots to upgrade them, and the base stats are sick.They are, both amber and madness sets are substantially better than dragon weapons and armor and better than other creations that are also moderately better than normal dragon stuff (like Dragonsteel). At endgame it doesnt really matter I suppose because we can smith and enchant godtier weapons, looks matter most.
