I would stick with sofia over serana. To me knowing she has things to say about 80% of the things u are gonna do is great.

In the marry me serana you ask her to marry you and it goes much like it does with everyone else. You can assign her to a house, adopt kids who will talk with her, etc. but if you marry her through the dialogue add on you can’t do the other stuff you would usually be able to do with a spouse.
