If you get the exotic from K1 Communion, you need to open it when K1 Communion is the Master, and then you will get whatever the Master version is giving. So you get the exotic from the Legend, and open it when that same lost sector is Master. I believe the issue you experienced was due to a bug with today’s lost sector, specifically.
