Tradovate replay and simulation work pretty well and as someone mentioned, it's pretty good about not automatically filling you just bc the target is hit. I will offer this one bit of caution: if you are simulating trading during a low volume session, for example overnight, I would say its not that accurate bc stops get tagged pretty easily overnight vs regular hours.Tradovate is a good trading platform. If you got filled with a bracket order auto-attached at the time of trade execution, you're good. I've been thinking the same thing. I use tradestation on my windows (on my mac) which works pretty well for my needs. It's good right out of the box, lots of different commodities and currency futures for reasonable margin. $3-4k will be enough for a couple micro/ commodity contacts. I wouldn't recommend ninjatrader. Really outdated and the whole "lifetime license" is nonsense.If you connect the 2 then the data feed that you pay for on tradovate can be used on tradingview. Also if you so desire you could use tradingview to actually place trades through tradovate. Tradingview has this option available for a couple of different brokers. To trade the micros you’ll probably need a minimum of $500 or paper trade. Learn price actions trading because most indicators lag and futures are very fast and volatile.

Sounds like for TradingView traders are better off using AMP versus Tradovate which integration has hiccups now and then.
