Only thing I didn’t like about Houtlaw review is he used the Staccato mag in majority of the review. Most people won’t buy the prodigy if they own Staccatos. Stock mags seem to be one of the problems with the prodigy. Keep hearing some issues where buyers have to send back to Springfield but they will likely work that out. The stock fire control units in a P are machined and better quality than factory Prodigy. The DLC finish is LIGHT YEARS better than the Cerakote on the prodigy, my P has a DLC barrel as well. Dawson red dot plates are 150 to 160 for a Staccato, unless you want to run a DPP, which is only $40 for that kit.

After shooting both…. There is not a huge difference between the two. I’m very happy that I went with the Springfield Prodigy… easily saved a couple thousand...

We've had three more Stacato P's come through the shop for transfer and all of them have the same amount of disco drag the gun tuber experts are in a rage about with the prodigy.
