CV axle popped out of the transmission. The mechanic says the replacement boot was installed improperly. Two months ago, I took my 2017 Crosstrek into the dealer for new brakes. They informed me that the left lower ball joint also needed to be replaced. When doing the replacement, the tech damaged the CV Boot.

The biggest tip is to first locate and remove all the crazy push-in screws, and 2 screw in screws (depending on the rear mudguard assembly).
