To open or loosen the screw in your fairway wood, place the wrench into the top of the screw and turn it anti-clockwise. To tighten a screw, you turn it clockwise. In all of my Titleist fittings I have never had to find a left handed adapter - with other brands you can fit right handed adapters by putting them in upside down on left handed heads.
