A lot of guys recommend Rotella 15w40 diesel oil. It doesnt have the friction modifiers that regular car oils have that cause clutch slippage. shadetree. 38589 posts · Joined 2010. #2 · Feb 19, 2017. the button is on the left handle bars, push red button down, pull brake lever, it also pulls lever under there, the cable goes to the rear of the engine, which operates another lever at the back, bottom side of the engine, this is made this way on most all Hondas.It only has about 41 miles on it and could still just be breaking in but it does feel off while shifting. I've noticed when the ATV is cold it is definitely harder to shift. The foot shifter just does not want to go up into the next gear. It does eventually go into gear but it takes some time.

Usually when you can't shift through the gears with the manual shifter, that means it's not an electrical problem, but a problem with the shift linkage or the transmission itself. The first issue is that the starter is not working, I replaced the solenoid thinking it had quit but still all I get is a "click" from under the seat. Sometimes it will work but most times I have to pull start it.
