Marlin 795 discontinued.
The model 795 is the one Ruger will need to kill to protect the 10/22. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the .22 lever guns. Ruger had the 96/22, and it didn't go over that well despite (or maybe because of) it being a detachable-mag model that looks like an old Savage lever gun.

For hunting i use: FM High Velocity Hollow Point (an argentinian ammunition) and CCI Mini-Mag Hollow Point. NEVER USE HYPER VELOCITY ammunition on the Marlin 795 such as CCI Stinger, Velocitor etc. I just fired 10 rounds of Stinger and the recoil buffer broked and by the way they are not precise at all.

I have a Skinner barrel mounted peep on the 60 and tech sights on the 795. I would take the 795 every time. Glenfield Model 60, 795, 915y.

I don't think the Marlin 795 has be discontinued. Marlin was bought by Ruger, and I think Ruger is in the process of bringing production back on line.
