After over a decade of no issues, both our Tivos started showing V58 errors when tuning non-local channels. I called Comcast's CC support number and the rep who took the call tried a few times to re-pair the CCs with no luck. She transferred me to level 2 which did the same thing but also had no success.Sep 14, 2014 · I sometimes get this happening too. Usually if I power cycle the tuning adapter it fixes the problem (at least for a few weeks). If that doesn't work, try pulling out the CableCard and pushing it back in. Getting Tivo Engineering to dedicate resources to making their software work with some misconfigured cable system is another story.
The Tivo rep was actually suggesting that I contact the ABC station so that they could contact Tivo to get the problem resolved. Uh, why would I need to do that??? And, besides, the ABC channel doesn't appear to be the problem - it looks to me like it's the Tivo channel guide that has the bogus 29-3 and 29-4 stations showing up in the first place.
