All feed and ejection operations occur in the last 1/2 inch of movement to the rear, and the last 1/2 inch of movement to the front. Everything in between is dead space with nothing going on.

One aid with the KSG and the new K7S is to buy the optional Kel-Tec thicker and wider recoil pad. This makes it much more comfortable to shoot, and looks better then the Limbsaver slip-on pad. I don't really buy this. My experience with shotguns are hunting and shooting skeet Remington 870 WM and 11/87. I have owned both for over 20 years. I rarely even clean them.The Federals are around a dollar each so that's a negative. The Federal "Shorty Shotshell" in a rifled slug are 1 3/4 inch, 1 ounce and 1200 FPS muzzle velocity per the box. Looks like the slug doesn't protrude from the front of the shell as it does on the Aguila mini's so I might be able to get 25 in my KSG with these.
