The M4 is better in nearly every metric. The only downside being the lesser capacity due to import restrictions and the extra pound of weight. It cycles smoother, shoots softer, and has a superior operating system. The blink system in the beretta is awesome, but not as refined as the argo.They don't have the cycling issues that inertia guns do with adding optics or shooting at angles that an inertia gun might not like. The M4 is in no way "Better" than a M2, or 1301. It's just different. The decision between a 1301 and M2 is a toss up. Basically, do you want a gas, or inertia gun. Reliability wise, they are equal, with a slight nod to the m2, since inertia guns run very clean, even after high shell count.

The actions are similar, but very different for loading (1301 raises the lifter for fast loading when the action is closed, while the a400 does not). Also the carrier button (underside in front of trigger) seems less prone to accidental engagement on the comp pro.
